The description from the group's Wikipedia page: a computer hacker group that claims responsibility for several high profile attacks, including the compromise of over 1,000,000 user accounts from Sony in 2011. The group also claimed responsibility for taking the CIA website offline. The FBI, along with EU authorities, seem to have nabbed the mastermind.
From The Daily Mail:
A British teenager suspected of masterminding computer hacking attacks on the CIA, the U.S. Senate and Sony from his bedroom was yesterday arrested.
Ryan Cleary, 19, was detained at his family’s home in Essex in a dramatic swoop following a joint inquiry by Scotland Yard and the FBI.
This morning it was revealed the FBI seized servers in Virginia, run by Swiss web hosting company DigitalOne, around the time Cleary was arrested - suggesting the net was already closing in on the group.

His mom, who is bipolar, let her son sit in his room all day, playing video games. He was kicked out of school at age 5. His brothers were outside playing while he sat inside on the computer, masterminding schemes.
