Democrats finally find some moderates, promptly ignore them.

Somebody finally said it. The Democratic push for free stuff hit a wall in the first night of the second round of Democratic debates last night when the moderate also-ran candidates finally said Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and free everything is crazy.

John Hickenlooper, John Delaney, and Tim Ryan all said there is no way the country can afford all of the giveaways that Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are promising.

But Warren and Sanders, and a lot of the people in CNN's audience, ignored them.

Warren and Sanders doubled down on progressive ideas, and then tripled down on their blind opposition to President Trump.

That's the opposite of what former Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said. He warned the candidates before the debate that another night of socialism and progressivism will all but guarantee Donald Trump a second term.

We'll have to wait and see if the other frontrunners, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, will do the same.
